I Bend the Knee Again!

Once in a while it is important not to discuss any one serious issue, but simply say “THANK YOU!”

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your kindness and generosity to our parish community especially during this pandemic. Thanks to all of you and all your efforts, we have been able to meet our financial responsibilities and even put money into savings.

You should feel very proud of yourselves, of your sacrifices and your work and efforts on behalf of our community.

It proves that our community is very dedicated to our parish life and to one another. Such generosity and sacrifices will surely be blessed by God and will bear fruit in the ministries of our parish. You have also been very generous towards donating funds for those among us who find themselves in need. And, you are to be complimented for your sensitivity and Christian charity.

Thanks to you, we are coming closer to reaching our goal for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal and we are very close to being able to install the new lighting system in church. Everything is due to your generosity and sense of community.

Last, but not least, I thank God for each and everyone of you. Your presence is the greatest gift of all together with your sense of community and family. I love to see and hear our church filled with your children. I love to see whole families in church. I even love when the little ones cry and scream in church. It’s a sign of life! A sign of family! Indeed, we are blessed in many ways, but most of all by the fact that we are family here at St. Julia and we care for one another.

So, I bend the knee again to the God that I see so clearly in all of you. God is indeed very real to me and you make him real to me. I hope and pray that you also recognize God in each other and be grateful for the faith community that we have…just like me.

For your information, there isn’t a day that goes by when I do not bend the knee before you. I am very grateful to you and to have you in my life. May God bless you and your families and all your loved ones.

You are in my prayers and in my heart.

Fray Julio
